Nigeria's dreaded word!

I have realized in life that things never stay the same, not because they just want to evolve, rather because change is constant and this principle governs life as a whole. I remember a time when owning a landline was "What's up" and mind you, not just any kind of landline phone o but that one you would rotate and then it would connect you to operator. Am sure my 1960 children can relate. 

Anyways, fast forward to the early 2000 where owning a cellular was a big deal.. I still recall in 2001 when my dad came home with a motorola cellular phone, that had a really long antenna (I think for about 40k then) and mind you ,if yours did not have an antenna you were not a big boy o...Even SIM card sef! Was gold! We purchased our Econet sim for about 20000 naira, now that same sim card I bought a month ago, for 200 naira plus registration o .

I also remember my first love blackberry. Oh! Blackberry! that I never got to use because it was freaking expensive; if you did not use one like myself you'd have to ask others to understand what am saying. Even if it was blackberry tour, the point was you owned a Blackberry!! However my crush was on bold 5, it was in that time a BAD ASS! Chai! Just last week I saw that same phone being sold for 5k. Chimo! I literally sat on the floor and laughed eya!.. 
Anyways, take a walk with me to 2013, guess what the new craze was... ANDROID! Ya! anyone at all as long as it was an android phone, you were good to go.. i recall my first android Techno M3, chisus! Me that I have never seen complete touch screen before besides the movies, I started living the life o. Funny how the  last time I did a survey, techno did not make that version no more cos it was antique and outdated! Wow! Already? 

I was still recovering and experiencing bliss in my android  world, when I heard that the new craze was iPhone. Shuu! They have come again, this world people! Anyway, somehow as providence would have it, I managed to acquire my first apple product iPad. Rest In Peace dearest iPad. I know you're wondering but that's gist for another day. Anyway, after I acquired this masterpiece or so I thought, I did not hesitate to answer when asked what product it was with excess pride in my voice and a humble smile on my face, I would say "it's apple" 😂😂😂I was in cloud nine Jor! 

 Only for me to hear that there is another new craze called iPhone 7 and 7s , that costs about half a million naira. Wait you read that right? Half a million! Jesus! I no do again o kilode? What happen?   

I do not plan on arguing with anyone that change is not constant, in fact I more than everyone agree that change is constant but where me and person go get issues Na when they insist that it is for everybody. Biko, nna it's not for everybody o! As you see me so I rest my case..

Have you ever known love? Have you ever felt love? Have you ever been in love? I ask because all three have happened to me and it was the best feeling and experience I could have ever wished for in my life time. THE ILLUSION!

Pain isn't something that gives you a choice as to the intensity or the severity. It kinda has a mind of its own.  I once saw a poster for a pain killer I think IBEX or so and it read "pain is constant but suffering is optional" and that day it made so much sense to me  cos I felt, there was sort of a cure for every pain no matter how intense, it could be rid off. This belief was so strong that when I experienced a pain I could not cure, I dared not believe it! I said "there has to be something, anything that could rid me of the pain I felt all over, physically , spiritually, emotionally and all the rest". So I kept searching for the cure at all cost, mindless of the consequences hoping that the pain would cease and the void would be filled.  I tried every and anything from sleeping pills to pain killers to hard drugs to cigarettes to alcohol to sexual exploitation and yet that dull ever nagging pain just won't leave.  I had lost all hope,in fac

Stagnation, my new obsession .

Ever been in a predicament were you have no clue what to do next, who to be next, when to be what you need to be even up to matters as insignificant as what to eat ? I like to call it the stagnant stage. Stagnant stage: a phase in life which does not allow you to experience new success, joy or achievements because you have been stuck in a particular level with no hope of moving forward. Sweethearts! That's the phase I am experiencing, a phase where I know I have to write, but I know not what to write, I have to eat but I don't think it fixes the problem, I need new business ideas but yet I seem to fall short, I need love all  round but it seems the world is already consumed by hate. So what do I do ? I am sick and tired of trying to be and look miss Perfect. It hasn't helped me in anyway , because people do not expect me to have problems.   I can still remember the cool 😎 October morning as I woke up to sound of my phone 📱 ringing continuously, at first I was mad 😡 wondering who had the nerve to call me at such an odd hour and with such ferocity; until I picked up my phone and saw it was my intended. "I have made money" party

  The youths of these days amaze me a lot, how will someone that worked hard,toiled, sweated and even starved to make money  💰  finally get the money and decides a few days/ weeks later to throw a "I have made money party" is that one not proper brain disorder? I don't understand it, when my friend mentioned it to me I started wondering what the person did to get that money. I mean if it was I who had gone through all that stress my first agenda would not be to throw a party telling the whole world how much money I had but rather think of an investment that would ensure the stability of that cash before throwing one useless party that will only be a liability.  My generation though! I won't blame them much after all the world has provided so many get rich easily schemes that nobody knows what it means to toil for their money. EPISODE 1 My name is Edidiong Ugoma, I am 21 years old and I am fresh out of the university. I was born into one of those homes you would call average, in the sense that we always had food to eat,the necessities we needed and we got good education.
